Abstract: Sialis nigripes Pictet, 1865 (Megaloptera: Sialidae) was known until now from only nine localities in the Czech Republic, where it has been considered critically endangered. This study presents 49 new records from 35 streams and one fishpond distributed in all the major river basins. The species occurs mostly at low altitudes below 300 m a.s.l. (31 localities) in mid-sized and large streams (Strahler stream order 6–9; 36 localities). Based on the new records, it is proposed that S. nigripes should be listed as 'least concern' because it is frequent in running waters at mid and low altitudes throughout the Czech Republic, including localities with deteriorated water quality.

Abstract: Orectochilus (Patrus) himalayensis Vazirani, 1984 (currently in the genus Patrus Aubé, 1838) is found to be a primary junior homonym of Orectochilus (Orectochilus) nuristanicus himalayensis Ochs, 1955, and thus Vazirani's name is replaced by Patrus uttarpradeshensis nom. nov. The var. maculatus Pic, 1909 of Dineutus grandis (Klug, 1834) is found to be an available name of subspecific rank and a junior synonym of D. grandis. Some notes on the publication date of Patrus Aubé are given.

Abstract: Two species of Gyrinidae, two species of Noteridae and 35 species of Dytiscidae (Coleoptera) are recorded from the eastern, Asian part of Kazakhstan, namely Almaty Province and East Kazakhstan province. One Noteridae: Noterus crassicornis (O. F. Müller, 1776) and eight Dytiscidae: Bidessus unistriatus (Goeze, 1777), Colymbetes dolabratus (Paykull, 1798), Herophydrus musicus (Klug, 1834), Hydroporus incognitus Sharp, 1869, H. lapponum (Gyllenhal, 1808), H. melanarius Sturm, 1835, H. umbrosus (Gyllenhal, 1808) and Rhantus notaticollis (Aubé, 1837) are recorded from Kazakhstan for the first time, increasing the number of known dytiscid species from Kazakhstan to 93. Rhantus bistriatus (Bergsträsser, 1778) is recorded for the first time from the Asian part of Kazakhstan.

Abstract: Altogether 390 pseudoscorpions belonging to 16 species and four families were examined during the present study. The samples were collected at more than 40 localities in Slovakia and one locality in the Czech Republic. The material includes specimens found in several microhabitats, such as mould of tree hollows, wood-decay fungi, dead wood, under tree bark, as well as specimens collected using Malaise traps, tree trunk photoeclectors and cardboard strips. A total of 13 species were found in tree hollows; the closest association with this type of microhabitat demonstrated by the species Allochernes wideri (C. L. Koch, 1843) and Dinocheirus panzeri (C. L. Koch, 1837). A total of 10 species were collected under tree bark; the most abundant was Chernes cimicoides (Fabricius, 1793). Both C. cimicoides and Chernes hahnii (C. L. Koch, 1839) showed a strong association with the microhabitat under tree bark. The Chernetidae family was the most abundant in all of the seven microhabitats examined, except for the samples from cardboard strips. In the cardboard strip samples, only the family Neobisiidae was collected. The species Pselaphochernes scorpioides (Hermann, 1804) was the most abundant in the samples from dead wood, wood-decay fungi and in Malaise traps.

Abstract: Based on a faunistic survey in 2010-2014 and a few previously published records, we report 118 species of Heteroptera, 107 species of Auchenorrhyncha and 21 species of Sternorrhyncha: Psylloidea from the environs of the town of Přebuz in the western part of the Krušné hory Mts. (= Erzgebirge) in western Czech Republic. The area is remarkable for well-preserved peat bogs, transitional mires, heaths and montane meadows and the occurrence of many habitat specialists among the Hemiptera. Forty-six of the species recorded are listed on the Red List of threatened invertebrates of the Czech Republic. The most noteworthy are the records of Sigara scotti (Douglas et Scott, 1868) (Heteroptera: Corixidae), Javesella bottnica Huldén, 1974 (Auchenorrhyncha: Delphacidae), and Macrosteles fieberi (Edwards, 1889) (Auchenorrhyncha: Cicadellidae) - these three species are currently known in the Czech Republic only from the Přebuz environs (for M. fieberi, we provide here first the confirmed records from the Czech Republic). The distribution and ecology of 61 species are briefly discussed in the paper and additional, hitherto unpublished records from other regions of the Czech Republic are supplied for some of them.

Abstract: This paper presents the first record of Wiedemannia (Chamaedipsia) mikiana (Bezzi, 1899) (Diptera: Empididae) from Slovakia. This brings the empidid fauna of Slovakia to 277 species.

Abstract: Lixus (Dilixellus) neglectus Fremuth, 1983 is an endemic weevil of central Europe (Austria, Czech Republic and Slovakia). This species mainly occurs in a small area at the confluence of the Dyje and Morava rivers. Recently, it has only been collected in Austria and Slovakia, although until 1936 it was also known from the Czech Republic. In this paper, the recent occurrence of this species in the Czech Republic is confirmed by a few records from southern Moravia.

Abstract: Nezara viridula (Linnaeus, 1758) (Hemiptera: Heteroptera: Pentatomidae) is recorded for the first time from Slovakia based on a specimen collected in Štúrovo. The bionomics, distribution, and economic importance of the species are briefly reviewed.
