Abstract: Monolepta anatolica sp. n. is described from Turkey and compared with M. arabica Medvedev, 1996, M. saudica Medvedev, 1996, M. afghana Lopatin, 1963 and M. kabakovi Medvedev, 1985. The diagnostic morphological characters are illustrated.

O. vindobonensis (Formánek, 1908) is recorded from Turkey for the first time, O. ganglbatteri (Formánek, 1908) is recorded from Italy for the first time.

The first reliable records of Phosphuga atrata atrata (Linnaeus, 1758), Dendroxena quadrimaculata (Scopoli, 1772), Oiceoptoma thoracica (Linnaeus, 1758), Nicrophorus confusus Portevin, 1924, N.fossorfossor Erichson, 1837, N. humator (Gleditsch, 1767), N. investigator Zetterstedt, 1824, N. vespilloides Herbst, 1784 and N. vestigator Herschel, 1807 from Turkey are reported. The known distribution of Ablattaria arenaria (Kraatz, 1876), A. laevigata Fabricius, 1775, Aclypea undata (O. F. Müller, 1776) and Silpha obscura Linnaeus, 1758 in Turkey is figured. A check-list of all species of Silphidae known from Turkey is provided.

First records of Latridius latissimus from Iraq, and of Enicmus amici from Slovakia, Bulgaria, and Ukraine, are included.

Daniel, 1902 species group. Based on examination of new material from Greece and Turkey is Trechus subacuminatus Fleischer, 1898 sensu Jeannel, 1929, stat. n. redescribed and removed from synonymy of T austriacus Dejean, 1831 as a valid species. Records of further 23 rare or from the zoogeographical point of view interesting species of Trechus Clairville, 1806 from Turkey and Greek islands along the Egeian coast of Turkey are provided. From them Trechus saulcyi Jeannel, 1921 is recorded from Turkey for the first time. One species - Leiodes turcica sp. n. from Turkey and Abkhazia is described as new to science, eight species - Leiodes polita (Marsham, 1802), L. subtilis (Reitter, 1885), Liocyrtusa vittata (Curtis, 1840), Colenis immunda (Sturm, 1807), Anisotoma humeralis (Fabricius, 1792), A. glabra (Kugelann, 1794), Agathidium nigripenne (Fabricius, 1792) and A. tenuicorne Reitter, 1884 are recorded from Turkey for the first time. All fifty species of Leiodinae known from Turkey are listed.

Three new species are described: Choleva {Choleva) mertliki sp. n. (southern Turkey, northwestern Syria), C. (C.) kostali sp. n. (southern Turkey) and C. (C.) safranboluensis sp. n. (northern Turkey). Additional faunistic records of further species are given. The first record of Choleva {Choleva) reitteri Petri, 1915 and the first reliable record of C. (C.) cisteloides (Frölich, 1799) from Turkey are presented. A list of all eighteen species presently known from the area is given. All available data on the distribution of Choleva in Turkey are reviewed and mapped.

The presence of the following 4 species in Turkey is regarded as doubtful: Dryophilus densipilis Abeille de Perrin, 1872, Ernobius reflexus (Mulsant et Rey, 1863), Pseudolasioderma brevis (Reitter, 1891) and Caenocara ganglbaueri Schilsky, 1899. Ananotated list of all 88 species known or mentioned from the area is given.
