A new West-Palaearctic genus and species, externally similar to Stenolechia gemmella, with taxonomical notes on related genera (Lepidoptera: Gelechiidae)

Abstrakt: Stenolechiodes pseudogemmellus gen. n., sp. n. from Central and South Europe and Asia Minor is described and com-pared with externally similar and well known Stenolechia gemmella (Linnaeus, 1758). Specifical generic characters are stated and illustrated. Adults, wing venation and genitalia are described and illustrated together with other related palaearctic genera Chorivalva Omel'ko, 1988, Parastenolechia Kanazawa, 1985 and Parachronistis Meyrick, 1925. The subgenus Origo Omel'ko, 1988 is synonymized with Parastenolechia Kanazawa, 1985; a new combination, Parastenolechia nigrinotella (Zeller, 1847) is proposed. Lectotype of Lita nigrovittella Duponchel, 1839 is designated.
