Abstract: The first record from Kazakhstan of the North American invasive coreid bug Leptoglossus occidentalis Heidemann, 1910 is given, from a city park in Almaty. This extends the known and predicted ranges of this rapidly spreading species more than 2500 kilometres eastwards.

Callomyia speciosa Meigen, 1824 (Diptera: Platypezidae) and Asilus crabroniformis Linnaeus, 1758 (Diptera: Asilidae) were recorded for the first time in the Podyjí National Park. Among syrphid species, Myolepta potens (Harris, 1777), Sphiximorpha subsessilis (Illiger in Rossi, 1807), Xanthogramma dives (Rondani, 1857), and Xanthogramma stackelbergi Violovitsh, 1975 were reported for the first time from the Podyjí National Park. Two of them, Myolepta potens (Harris, 1777) and Xanthogramma stackelbergi Violovitsh, 1975 are new for the fauna of the Czech Republic. We present here the entire list of syrphids caught with Malaise traps in June 2016 in three localities of the National Park ("Braitava" beech forest, top of "Ledové sluje" hill, and oak forest near "Čížov"). Additionally, in spring 2017, Mallota fuciformis (Fabricius, 1794) (Diptera: Syrphidae) was recorded for the first time in the Podyjí National Park.

This insect most likely originated in the Neotropical Region, but now has a cosmopolitan distribution due to anthropic dispersion, particularly with imported ornamental plants. In Central and Northern Europe it can only survive in glasshouses, while in warm regions it can survive outdoors. Currently, no environmental or economic impacts are foreseen.

Anthelephila krekichi nom. nov. is established to replace Formicomus vethi Krekich-Strassoldo, 1914 (preoccupied by F. vethi Pic, 1913). (Armenia, Turkey), N. hirtus bolognai ssp. nov. (Morocco, Spain), N. turbidus sp. nov. (Afghanistan, India, Pakistan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan), and N. sergeyi sp. nov. (Iran). A new synonymy, Notoxus hirtus hirtus LaFerté-Sénectère, 1849 (= N. hirtus var. caucasicus Pic, 1900, syn. nov.), is proposed. New faunistic data are presented, including the first records of Notoxus hirtus hirtus from Armenia and Iran, and N. sareptanus Heberdey, 1936 from Kazakhstan.

Roman Mlejnek & Jan BezděkNové poznatky z biologie rákosníčků (Coleoptera: Chrysomelidae: Donaciinae) České republikyKlapalekiana 54(1–2): 71-116Abstract: The aim of this work is to summarise new research results on the reed beetles (Donaciinae) of the Czech Republic from the years 2015 and 2016. The research from this period follows the detailed summary of data on reed beetles published by Mlejnek & Křivan (2016). This new paper mentions newly discovered localities for rare species, e.g., Donacia obscura Gyllenhal, 1813; Donacia sparganii Ahrens, 1810 or Macroplea appendiculata (Panzer, 1794), and also information linking immature stages to their host plants. This paper gives detailed descriptions of five selected wetland areas with occurrence of important bioindicator species of reed beetles. This work also provides new research results on the biology and behaviour of the species Macroplea appendiculata (Panzer, 1794) based on observation in laboratory conditions.

This alien species of bark beetle, native in Himalayan region, has been recorded in one locality in Slovakia (Brestovany, Trnava Region), two localities in Lower Austria (Marchegg and Drösing, Weinviertel Region) and four localities in the Podyjí National Park (Czech Republic). The species has been spreading throughout Central Europe in recent years, and further expansion is expected.

The current distribution and ecology of this species is reviewed. It is an arachnophile species usually found in funnel-webs of agelenid spiders (Araneae: Agelenidae) in the Mediterranean. However, arachnophile behaviour has not yet been confirmed in central Europe, due to the scarcity of records.
