Abstract: The genus Stenidius LaFerté-Sénectère, 1847 is redescribed with
17 recognized species. Three new species, S. dolosus sp. n. (Nepal, India:
Uttaranchal), S. glabratus sp. n. (Nepal) and S. finicola sp. n. (Pakistan,
India: Kashmir), are described. Four new combinations are proposed: S. aulicus
(LaFerté-Sénectère, 1849) comb. n. and S. signatus (Pic, 1922), comb. n. from
Formicomus LaFerté-Sénectère, 1849, S. curtulus (Krekich-Strassoldo, 1928)
comb. n. and S. luteonotatus (Pic, 1909), comb. n. from Anthelephilus
LaFerté-Sénectère, 1849. Four species originally described in the subgenus
Stenidius of Anthicus Paykull, 1789 are returned to Anthicus: A. longitarsis
Pic, 1894, A. magniceps Pic, 1902, A. stenomorphus Champion, 1895 and A.
takaosus Pic, 1913. Stenidius aulicus, S. curtulus, S. luteonotatus and S.
signatus are redescribed and the lectotype of S. curtulus is designated.
