Abstract: In the region of the Podyjí National Park (Czech Republic, Southern Moravia),
104 species of the family Syrphidae were found in the years 1991–1994.
Merodon ruficornis Meigen, 1822 and Brachymyia floccosa (Meigen, 1822) are
recorded as new for the Czech Republic and Eumerus ornatus Meigen, 1822 as new
for Moravia.
