Abstrakt: This paper presents the first records of the bee flies Phthiria gaedii Wiedemann
in Meigen, 1820 and Systoechus gradatus (Wiedemann in Meigen, 1820) from
Slovakia. The bionomics and distribution of the species are described briefly.
