Abstract: Six new species of the genus Omias Germar, 1817 from Greece and Bulgaria are described, illustrated and compared with closely related species: O. angelovi sp. nov., O. behnei sp. nov., O. crassirostris sp. nov., O. scrobithorax sp. nov., O. pseudomurinus sp. nov. and O. rilensis sp. nov.; moreover Euplatinus edmundi sp. nov. is described from Turkey, Omias crinitus (Reitter, 1906) is proposed as a junior synonym of Omias pustulatus (Seidlitz, 1868), Omias ganglbaueri Formánek, 1908 as a junior synonym of O. oertzeni (Stierlin, 1887 and Omias nitidulus (Vitale, 1904) as a junior synonym of Euplatinus graecus (Stierlin, 1885). Omias chelmosensis (Meschnigg, 1939) is resurrected from synonymy with O. oertzeni (Stierlin, 1887). Omias graecus (Stierlin, 1884) and O. laevis (Angelov, 1973) are transferred from the genus Omias to Euplatinus Desbrochers des Loges, 1907. Six "Omias" species from U.S.A. and Canada are proposed as a group of incertae sedis Omias species. Unknown males of Omias formaneki (Reitter, 1906) and Anemophilus gracilipes Borovec, 2006 are described. O. formaneki (Reitter, 1906) is recorded from Albania for the first time, as well as O. verruca Boheman, 1834 from Romania.

Abstract: Oreodytes angelinii sp. nov. is described from Epirus in north-western Greece, close to the border with Albania. It resembles at first glance Oreodytes sanmarkii (C.R. Sahlberg, 1826), but can be easily separated from the latter by its considerably larger size; differences in the genitalia and other characters are recognisable, but less obvious. The new species is described in detail and its habitus and male and female genitalia are illustrated and compared with those of O. sanmarkii. At the collecting site the new species was found together with Oreodytes septentrionalis (Gyllenhal, 1826), which is here recorded from Greece for the first time.

Abstract: Sapintus kalash sp. nov. is newly described from two, male and female, specimens collected in northwestern Pakistan. New records of Sapintus andreaskopetzi Telnov, 2014 and S. diversicornis (Pic, 1907) are given and male characters of both species are figured. A new combination, Sapintus diversicornis (Pic, 1907), comb. nov. (from Anthicus Paykull, 1798), is proposed.

Abstract: The first recent record of the grasshopper Oedaleus decorus (German, 1825) from southern Moravia (Vojenské cvičiště Bzenec Natural Monument, Czech Republic) is given. O. decorus is a very rare species on the northern edge of its distribution. This is the first note discussing its status in the Czech Republic and the circumstances of its discovery are discussed (this being the first record for the Czech Republic for 45 years). It appears that the specimens were introduced to the Czech Republic by an unknown person.

Abstract: Curculio vicetinus Cussigh, 1989, a species described and previously known only from Italy, is recorded from Croatia, Czech Republic (Moravia), Hungary, Slovakia and Turkey for the first time. Distinguishing characters to separate C. vicetinus from C. villosus Fabricius, 1781 are presented and illustrated, and a brief summary of their biology is given.

Abstract: The first records of Platydomene distinctiventris (Coleoptera: Staphylinidae: Paederinae) from Bohemia and new records from Moravia (Czech Republic) are given, and notes on the ecology and distribution of P. distinctiventris and P. sodalis and their occurrence in the Czech Republic are presented. P. distinctiventris is a new species for Bohemia and P. sodalis probably does not occur in the Czech Republic.
