Abstrakt: A new locality for Catoptria confusella (Staudinger, 1882) was recently discovered approx. 10 km from the northern edge of Prague, in the Vltava river valley. In the Czech Republic this species is only known from two areas – central Bohemia and southwest Moravia. Its habitat is linked to the phenomenon of so-called river canyon valleys. Its occurrence in central Bohemia represents the northernmost and currently also the westernmost point of its known European distribution.
