Kosce (Opiliones) Národného parku Slovenský raj

Abstract: This study presents the results of faunistic research on harvestmen (Opiliones), carried out in 1999, 2000, and 2023 on 21 study sites in the Slovenský raj National Park. A total of 361 harvestmen belonging to eleven species and three families were collected in the studied area. From a zoogeographical point of view, these comprised one Holarctic species, six European, two Central European, one Central and Southeastern European species, and one Carpathian endemic. Among the interesting data for the Slovenský raj NP are the findings of rare species of harvestmen, namely the Carpathian endemic Paranemastoma kochi (Nowicki, 1870) and the species Platybunus pallidus Šilhavý, 1938, which is one of our rarer harvestmen. Currently, together with older published data, 13 species of harvestmen are known to occur in the territory of the Slovenský raj.
