Abstract: The water-filled tree hole fauna of non-biting moth flies (Diptera: Psychodidae)
of Slovakia is documented for the first time. The first records of Lepiseodina
tristis (Meigen, 1830) and Sciria advena (Eaton, 1893) from Slovakia are noted.
European tree hole Psychodidae species are reviewed, and the relevance of
trapping methods is discussed.
