Štírci (Arachnida: Pseudoscorpiones) Prahy

Abstract: Faunistic data on pseudoscorpions in the Prague region (central Bohemia) are given. During 1991–2000, 19 species of pseudoscorpions were found in this area. Their distribution within the city territory is discussed. Special attention was given to tree hollows during the survey. Chthonius tetrachelatus (Preyssler, 1790), Mundochthonius styriacus Beier, 1971, Neobisium car- cinoides (Hermann, 1804), Roncus lubricus L. Koch, 1873, Allochernes wideri (C. L. Koch, 1843), Anthrenochernes stellae Lohmander, 1939, Dinocheirus panzeri (C. L. Koch, 1837) and Pselaphochernes scorpioides (Hermann, 1804) were found in this habitat. These species are classified according to their relation to this environment; their preference to certain humidity conditions was also observed.
